At Ketorai (ketorai.com) we process very little personal data, and we want you to know exactly what we collect, why, and what rights you have over it. This policy applies to the whole ketorai.com site and to all of its language versions.
1. Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Ketorai, operator of ketorai.com. For anything related to your data you can reach us at hola@ketorai.com.
2. What data we process
- Waitlist email. If you join the app waitlist, we store your email address, the site language and the page you subscribed from.
- Optional account. If you create an account with Google (OAuth), we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never see or store your Google password.
- Menu scanner photos. If you upload a photo of a menu, the image is processed by an artificial-intelligence system to identify the dishes and is stored on our servers together with the analysis result.
- Session cookies. We use strictly necessary technical cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms. Today we use no third-party tracking cookies and no advertising pixels.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): you voluntarily join the waitlist, choose to create an account and choose to upload a photo. We use the data exclusively to notify you about the app launch, to run your account and favourites, and to analyse the menu you send us. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
You can withdraw your consent at any time: every waitlist email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your account or your photos by writing to us.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep your waitlist email until you unsubscribe. Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. Menu photos are kept so we can show you your scan result; you can request their deletion at any time.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. To operate the service we rely on technical providers (hosting, email delivery and AI image processing) who process data only on our instructions and with the safeguards required by the GDPR.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectify it, to have it erased, to port it to another provider, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to hola@ketorai.com and we will respond as soon as possible. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects data you have already given us, we will let you know by email.
