Method
In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients for the special sauce until well combined. Set aside.
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions. Form each portion into a patty, slightly larger than your bun, and make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent bulging.
Season both sides of the patties generously with salt and black pepper.
Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat.
Cook the burger patties for 3-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.
While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the keto burger buns if desired.
Assemble the burgers: Spread a generous amount of special sauce on both halves of each bun. Place a cheeseburger patty on the bottom bun.
Top with shredded lettuce, sliced pickles, and chopped white onion.
Place the top bun on and serve immediately.
