Quick verdicts: foods people check most

How the keto verdict works

Every food is judged on its net carbs (total carbs minus fiber) per typical serving and per 100 g. Green means it fits a 20–25 g net-carb day with room to spare; amber means it only fits in small amounts; red means one serving eats most of your daily budget.

Every verdict links to the full card: exact net carbs, serving sizes, and keto-friendly swaps. Rather not type? Point your camera at the plate or menu and the AI scanner answers for the whole dish.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if a food is keto?

Look at net carbs — total carbohydrates minus fiber — per serving. With a daily budget of 20–25 g net, a food with under ~3 g net per serving fits easily; above ~10 g it starts crowding out everything else.

What makes a food not keto?

Sugar, flour and starch — bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, most fruit, anything sweetened. Density matters too: a food with 50 g of net carbs per 100 g can't be saved by a small portion.

Is fruit keto?

Mostly no — a banana alone can blow the daily budget. Berries are the exception: a handful of raspberries or strawberries has 3–4 g net and fits fine.

Are sweeteners like stevia and erythritol keto?

Yes. They don't raise blood glucose, which is why sugar alcohols like erythritol are subtracted when counting net carbs, same as fiber.

Can a food be keto in small amounts?

Yes — that's the amber verdict. Onion, tomato or carrots aren't 'free', but a modest serving fits a 20–25 g day. The card shows exactly how much.

What if the food I search isn't in the database?

The AI writes the card for your exact query in about a minute — verdict, net carbs and swaps — and it stays published for the next person who asks.

Is alcohol keto?

Spirits (whisky, vodka, gin, tequila) have zero carbs; dry wine is borderline; beer and sweet cocktails are not keto. Mixers are usually the real problem.

Is this keto checker free?

Yes — free, in your browser, no sign-up. Every answer links to the full food card with net carbs, serving sizes and alternatives.
