Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and thyme.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add chicken breasts to the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C).
Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate, tented with foil to keep warm.
Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
