Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the chicken breasts or thighs in a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, chicken broth, and ranch seasoning mix. Mix until well combined and smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chicken in the baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly and slightly golden.
Remove from the oven and shred the chicken directly in the dish using two forks, mixing it with the creamy sauce.
Stir in most of the crumbled bacon, reserving some for garnish.
Garnish with the remaining crumbled bacon and fresh chives or green onions before serving.
